1863-2013 150th anniversary this year, where                           time makes a difference

“Bread”  often  referred to as the” staff of life” and  a staple food for centuries. All  through the ages bread has always been a part of day to day life, from ancient Egypt down to today bread and the influence it has on people continues, that smell of a freshly baked loaf that grabs people and the memories that invokes of days gone by or just the irresistible taste of your favourite loaf perhaps with lashings of real butter on it!!!!! Everybody has a story to tell, a memory to share or that’s how it used to be!!!! Sadly today bread has become something of an also ran, supermarkets stock it as a loss leader only using it to get people into there store to sell them other things, from petrol stations to conveience stores everybody it would seem sells bread…………so what about your local baker ? do you even have one? Did you have one? Is there any need for them if you can find it else where? In a word YES!!!!!!

  Why though can we say that? Well do you really think mass produced bread is made with the same skill the same craft the same love and attention, how can it be, much of it is untouched by human hands till its in a bag!!!!!!  This point  is the motivation behind bread2bake we want to show just what goes into your daily bread the process, the time and the skill, not  to mention the genuine love for what we do and create, we want to give you an experience to inspire you, to make you think and understand, that’s what Bread2Bake is all about!!!!!!

So how will we do this?  Well we have already begun with the opening of our new premises in Ludlow situated at 135 corve street. Here is where you will find something a little different, here is where we want to make your trip to the bakery an experience. So why not come and have a look at what we have to offer come and see the bakery chat to the baker sample the breads along with local chutneys jams, and beautiful dipping oils, come and see and enjoy!!!!!!!!!
