About Us

We have shown you so far a little about the history of Swifts and our present and future plans with our new bakery and shop, this however is not the whole story...........

The new bakery is not a replacement but it is an addition to our existing bakery situated in the village of Clee Hill, here is where you will find the majority of the day to day production taking place as we have three other outlets of our own to produce for these can be found in Clee Hill itself Craven arms and Tenbury Wells, However it doesnt stop there, we also supply shops and other wholesale outlets in places like Cleobury Mortimer, Bewdley, Church Stretton, Clun, Kington and Pembridgee our bread has also travelled as far a field as Derby and Cheshire.

In recent years we have also seen the growing popularity of local food markets and food festivals, something that we as a company have become more and more involved in. We are present at both ludlow food markets held on the second and fourth thursdays of every month, also we can be found on markets in Ironbridge Bewdley and the latest addition is in Malvern.

As regards the ever popular food festivals and related shows this year looks like it could be the biggest yet for us, along with the well known Ludlow festivals in May and September we will be partaking in festivals in Malvern, Shrewsbury,Shobdon Tenbury Wells, Builth Wells(royal welsh show) Stoneleigh park Warwick and Stratford upon Avon to name but a few!!!!!

 All of this can take us out of our local area but rest assured events in our local area and community are just as important to us, which is why we regularly do talks and demonstrations for local primary and secondary schools as well as various WI groups and local clubs and gatherings, here we are able to inform and educate people in what we do and strive for, no better area to display this than with our involvement with an after school project called Skill Builders. This voluntary run organisation works with local schools to help educte younger people in some of the skilled artisan occupations mainly connected with food, we feel by doing this we will help find the next generation of bakers to keep your local bakery an ever present on your high street.
